We’re delighted to announce this year’s Concours d’Elegance, which will once again take place at the Sturbridge Host Hotel and Conference Centerin the Historical town of Sturbridge, on Friday,August 9,Saturday,August 10, and Sunday, August 11,2019.
Last year’s JANE Concours was noted as the best Jaguar Concours in the last decade according to glowing feedbackfrom the many participants, in spite of adverse weather conditions. The success enjoyed by all was the direct result of all JANE volunteers,Judges, headed by Chief Judge, Aldo Cipriano, and Concours leadership. The Concours administrativepersonnelworked hard to make thisa smooth seamlessevent. But naturally, the principalingredient to any successful story isthe participants-youand your Jaguar.
This year, we will continue to focus on two objectives:
1-To increase the camaraderie and the overall enjoyable experience for all attendees. This includesgaining an understanding of JCNA Concours rules, sharing our Jaguar experiences,or simply viewinggreat cars. This is the place to meet new friends with a similar passion.
2-To increase participation, as we show ourChampion vintage, Driven class, Competition class, all the way up to the latest Jaguar models offered by the factory.
As tradition would dictate, the Fridayevening kickoff will take place in the reserved hospitality suite for all volunteers, registrants, and their guests.Naturally, delicious food and libations will be offered compliments of JANE. Due to constrictive regulations, and the comfort of others, cigar (or cigarette) smokers will have 20,000 square feet of outdoor smoking space available!
On Saturday, the field will be opened for all pre-registered cars, followed by same day registration cars. Our DJ will provide an atmosphere of nostalgic classic 60s, 70s music, mixed with jazz and classical world tunes. The British Consul will officially open the event before the judging begins.
This year,by popular demand, the awards ceremony and dinner buffet will again take place indoors in the Banquet room. This was tried for the first time last year and it was a big hit. New this year will be a Sunday morning parade through historic Sturbridge Center, escorted by the Town’s police force.
I urge everyone to register right away. Early registration will save you money for both cars as well as hotel rates. Early registrants who attend the Friday kickoff, will be invited to confirm their arrival and collect their judging package and gift bags. This will allow them to park their cars in the designated field areas, thus avoiding the Saturday morning long registration line.
We have a negotiated rate with the hotel -early JANE rate for reservations before August 1, is $127: after August1, regular hotel ratesprevail.Call me at 617-216-9703 withany questions.
I look forward to sharing another great Jaguar Concours event with everyone.
