JCSNE trips to restoration shops always seem to be well attended, and we expect this to be no exception.
Donovan Motorcars in Lenox, Massachusetts have kindly invited JCSNE for the day to tour their shop. Donovan restore and maintain a wide range of classics, but specialize in Jaguars – and even run a racing team of 3 XKEs that can be seen across the country at vintage racing events.
As well as touring the regular shop, and seeing the restoration work taking place on customer cars, we are also going to see what it takes to run the racing team and become known as "The home of North America’s fastest racing Jaguars".
Donovan’s are also kindly hosting JCSNE for lunch, and then we will have a presentation by Bruce Murray.
Some of you may know Bruce - he is building a working model XK motor, and has presented at the JCNA AGMs. Today he will update us with his progress towards creating what we believe is the smallest ever working Jaguar motor.
The event will start at Donovan Motorcar Service at 11am. Members can either make their own way there, or join the JCSNE convoy from Torrington, CT.
For those that want to join the convoy, we will be meeting at the Route 8, Exit 44 North bound Commuter Parking lot on Christopher Road (next to the Burger King) at 9:30am, and departing at 9:45am sharp.
If you are planning to join the convoy from Torrington, please email me ( EventsVP@JCSNE.org ) after you have registered.
Please register as soon as possible so we have an idea of numbers!
