Commuter Parking Lot (Christopher Road, Torrington, CT 06790; Ext 44 Route 8)
We will meet at the Commuter Parking Lot in Torrington (opposite Burger King) at 10:00am. We will depart at 10:20, and head to East Canaan in convoy.
Land of Nod Vineyard & Winery (99 Lower Road, East Canaan, CT 06024)
We plan to arrive just before the winery opens at 10:50am. Please park in a line on the lawn in front of the winery, where we hope to get some photos of the cars. We will be leaving at noon, and heading to Lakeville. (I know some members are planning to start at the winery, rather than traveling to Torrington)
The Boathouse at Lakeville (349 Main Street, Lakeville, CT 06039)
We have lunch booked for 12:30pm at the Boathouse. Please park in the rear parking lot (at the top of the hill behind the restaurant. After lunch timing is more flexible, and we will head over to Millbrook
Millbrook Vineyards & Winery (26 Wing Road, Millbrook, NY 12545)
Turn right at the Winery sign and mailbox, and head up through the vines to the winery. Drive carefully – there are some new drainage channels across the driveway
Cascade Mountain Winery (835 Cascade Mountain Road, Amenia, NY 12501)
For those who would like to visit one more winery on the return journey, we are going to try and squeeze in a trip to Cascade. This is a small winery, hidden away at the end of a long country gravel road best traveled with care, but well worth the detour – the atmosphere is cozy and eclectic, and we were welcomed on our test drive!
